AUDREY PAUL
It is with great sadness that we announce that Audrey sadly passed away just recently
She bred and had many successful winners, not only in the show ring but also in racing and endurance. Having sat on the AHS Council for many years she was also a President of the AHS.
Always so hard working Audrey was on the South East Committee and Chair for many years, hosting many Stud visits in Edenbridge , Kent and then subsequently when the stud moved to East Sussex.
Arabian horses, the South East Group and the Arab Horse Society ran through her
Blood.
She will be very much missed by her Family and friends and we send our condolences to them.
Congratulations to Janice Cockley-Adams who has won the 2022 FERISHAL Trophy which is awarded to the high point Pure Bred Arabian registered with the AHS whose Owner is also a member of the AHS.
Here is a little bit about HS Echo!
The combination were British Endurance National Champions last year(2021). Building on that with a 2022 season of a series of consistently strong performances, the combination successfully completed 1029 km in endurance competitions.
Amongst the highlights were racing finishes to win 80km at Kings Forest South Eastern Championships and the 2 day 130 km race at Avon Valley. They also won the 2 day 130km Cheryl Logan Memorial Cup. The season was book-ended with two 5th places in 80km races – Sherwood Forest in March and Poplar Park in October.
Alongside the race rides Janice and HS Echo competed in five Graded Endurance Rides notching up four 1st place and one 3rd place Performance Awards. First places included at the Red Dragon Festival of Endurance where they collected the Calvert Trophy (best 2 day graded performance) for their winning result in the Golden Dragon 2 day 124km GER.
Janice summed up their season “It has been lots of fun, extremely rewarding and full of new friends and memories. Echo proves that the Arabian horse is a true athlete and the best loyal companion, I am very proud of him and his achievements and I absolutely adore riding him.”
