Researchers have already identified over 13,000 genetically inherited traits in humans, more than 5,000 of them are disorders or other abnormalities which may be fatal or disabling genetic conditions. Many of these conditions also occur in animals including horses of all breeds, so Arabians are not the only breed of horse to have problems with inherited disorders.
